Wow

These peaks into Mateo's mind and deleted scenes were absolutely perfect for wrapping up this story. None of the moments felt like it was just a new version of the same story. It was a piece of the story that you didn't know you were missing until you read it

Mateo is so toxic and so ridiculous BUT I still love him. And I really loved reading things from his perspective. That was my favorite part about this book. I really wish his perspective would have been integrated throughout the books. I would have LOVED that. But I’m setting it for reading it here.

What a journey! This whole series has been such an awesome read and journey! It's got parts I cried through, parts I thought now...now...now we're fudged! But nope! It all comes full bloody circle and I keep recommending this series to everyone who likes dark mafia romance where the men are dark and never change. Unrpentetive = Mateo.
He's one of my absolute favourites in Mafia romance! Sam Mariano I think wrote some of her best work in this series. Absolute french kiss and I highly recommend it.
But you HAVE to start with Book 1: [b:Accidental Witness|34395674|Accidental Witness (Morelli Family, #1)|Sam Mariano|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1489216660l/34395674._SY75_.jpg|55492002]

It's a journey and you will find yourself confused but I promise you, just keep reading! xxx

This is bittersweet because I don't want Mateo's story to end. I wish we could see all the books through his perspective. I love him so much and I know that's messed up.

The bonus chapters were interesting, except for the weird "fantasies" about Adrian. I didn't really need that.

Didn't really need Meg's POV, didn't really care.

I will really miss Mateo and Mia.

This is what I've been waiting for! Not only do we get a bunch of incredible bonus content (Scenes told from Mateo's perspective, some new scenes we didn't know about), but we get the story of those days of Mia's entrapment in Mateo's room from Mateo's eyes. THIS IS EVERYTHING.

Of course, don't read this until you've finished the series- it is MUCH better trying to figure out just what Mateo is masterminding and being surprised by the developments in book 5. Even after finishing the series, and feeling like I truly understood Mateo's feelings and inner workings and his dynamic with Mia, even then I found this to inspire new understandings of just what Mia does to Mateo, how and when he fell for her, and the deliciously devious way his mind works. I loved every moment of it- it was so tender and intimate, and yes, of course, dark and twisted.

I HATE that this is ending- or at least that chapter of tales. I could live in the world of Mateo and Mia forever- in fact, Mateo clearly has stockholmed me just like Mia- I want him to trap me in his room and take away all my control and choice forever. Brava, Sam.

An okay read. I enjoyed reading Mateo's POV but I wanted to see more POVs from in in other scenes. Some scenes I skimmed a lot. I'm curious about Dante's book and would be interested in reading about the next gen. The dynamic between Roman and Dom should be interesting.

So glad to have these snippets! I few like it helps the overall flow of the series and makes it more seamless. There were points in the series I felt was inconsistent but I suppose that is because we weren't getting all the character's POV, so this book helped a lot in gaining extra insight.
