There's always an dynamic in Walking Dead of trying to find peace and balancing that and freedom against order and control. It's not surprising that in the Trump era that begins to look like a fascist state that combines storm troopers and police brutality with a desire for a return to normality and economic prosperity.
Rick has aged a lot in 31 volumes (184 issues) and his drive for justice may be tempered by a weariness of fighting so long without anything changing.

A good installment in the series, but to be honest, trying to keep track of who's alive on TV and not in the comics -- and vice versa -- makes my head spin.

This volume is different from the rest as it focuses mainly on the people and the communities and not much on the undead threat. Political drama and social struggle are the main themes of the story.

Dwight didn't have to die, I was rooting for him. He was so close to end of it all
