i just read this book for the second time (first during high school) and i have to say i still enjoyed it. in fact, i may be even more sympathetic to the story as an adult. there is this purity of relationship between the two boys and their respective fathers. although coming from varied belief systems and family structures they manage to connect more deeply than perhaps we do today.
