This was a really excellent mystery with multiple pieces I didn’t see coming!

Excellent book! This book establishes Agatha Cristie as not only a good detective novelist but also a true author.

Agatha Christie is always an entertaining read. However, this time the central mystery just did not grab me. The resolution feels rushed as well.

This is one of Christie's best and strongest stand alone novels! The plot of this story is incredibly plausible with a very unusual poison and a genuine feeling of menace over and above the usual whodunit element. It almost seems like Agatha Christie has changed tracks and is writing about black magic, but as with many of her titles, what you see is not always what you get. This is the perfect novel for spooky season and may even have some witches in it. It also includes some cameos from other characters from other Christie novels from Poirot to Miss Marple, including the murderers from some of those books! 5/5 stars!

I enjoyed this, there's a potential supernatural thread which adds another element to a typical Christie novel.
The changing narrator means it's not as slick as some of hers but interesting nonetheless
