Stumbling across a debut author and LOVING their book gives a special kind of joy. Ava Wilder and Alison Cochrun are at the top of that list and now, getting to add Julie Soto to it makes my heart glow.

I had SO MANY feelings when I first saw this cover (mostly

Okok, being in Ama's POV during the "now" and in Elliot's in their past??? So we get to see the rebirth of their relationship through Ama and the original start through Elliot's?? I've never seen anything like this before, and I absolutely loved it! I adored both characters, loved the story, had so much fun on this ride.

I enjoyed this book in the beginning when the banter was great and there was quite a bit of tension. Unfortunately the second half was not as delightful.
There was minimal romance in the book but what is there is from the past. The tension in the beginning is not in the present relationship, there is no excitement and everything gets wrapped up quickly. There isn’t any character growth so the ending was just fine but not great.
I will say this book was quite enjoyable as I’m currently planning a wedding. The whole wedding planning aspect was great and obviously very relatable. I have to give it 3.5 stars
