Rick Riordan is pure genius. I love the way these books are presented as though through a secondary source--from two kids recording their adventure and Riordan simply finding and passing on their story. There is so much actual information in The Kane Chronicles. As opposed from a textbook (yes, I guess I am comparing it to a text book, but only because it gives you so many actual facts about Egyptian mythology), where even the most interesting topics can seem extremely dull, Riordan's readers are able to learn an incredible amount about the history of Ancient Egypt and its mythology through the experiences and knowledge of his characters. I also love the relationship of Sadie and Carter. Their sibling rivalry and squabbles mixed with true love and respect for each other gives their otherwise perilous adventures a bit of a humorous kick. Loved it!

A good sequel. Sadie didn't get on my nerves this time.

Fun read with great characters. the end was a little anticlimactic, but it's all in my head because I misunderstood a little bit in the beginning. I recommend this series to anyone especially as it has a lot of great information and helps you learn something about Ancient Egypt.
