This started off so good but got more and more convoluted and confusing in the second half. I’m still going to read the next book because the idea of it is 👌🏼, it’s super funny, and the characters are so interesting.

This book didn’t work for me. The premise was initially interesting but the main character is insufferable. He’s misogynistic to his female partner and it was uncomfortable to read. The magical elements were kind of boring to be honest and the book was trying too hard to be funny. I won’t be continuing the series.
