When I heard that Toni Aleo was giving us a novella of Jude and Clair I about jumped on my bed. I was THAT excited. I loved these two characters when we first met them. I continued to love them when we got little glimpses of their lived in other books. And no shocker here, I loved them even more after reading their short story. I felt the pain they were dealing with and wanted to jump in the book and hug them and tell them that everything was going to be ok. I wish we got a little bit more than a novella on them, but I will take what I can get. If this couple was one of your favorites, I suggest picking this up! You won't be disappointed that you did. I guarantee you will fall in love all over again with them as well!

Changing Lines is a short story featuring Jude and Claire from Boarded by Love, and it was a lovely, heartwarming, entertaining, quick read, that had me hooked from beginning to end. And really reminded me of what a great series the Bellevue Bullies is. Especially when those stories feature the Sinclair family and after reading this I'll definitely be checking out all of them again.

Would happily recommend.

Claire & Jude are one of my favorite characters. I don't know a couple in the authors books that are more deserving to be so happy. This book shows how no matter what life throws at your relationship, having a partner that loves & supports you, will help you overcome anything.

The story was beautiful and the characters still have the same fire they had all along.

Awesome Read!

You definitely should read their whole story(Boarded by Love) before reading this one.

Changing Lines follows the story of Claire and Jude, a Toni Aleo classic couple. These two have always been among my favorites and I was so excited to get to read more about their lives. I would suggest reading Claire and Jude’s first book before reading this one so that you know their whole story (it is a great read, I promise).

Jude and Claire are a young couple thriving in their perspective careers. However, personally, they are struggling with infertility. While adoption is an option for this couple, Claire feels a strong need to experience pregnancy herself. This story follows Claire and Jude through their emotional journey to parenthood. While we do get a classic Toni happily ever after, there are plenty of struggles along the way.

As with Toni’s other books, this story includes many members of the extended Assassins family, which allows everyone to catch up on some of their favorite characters. While this may be a shorter novella style story, it packs a punch and leaves you feeling happy and excited for your next Aleo read.

The perfect short featuring one of our favourite Bellevue couples. Life hasn't always been perfect but this short draws all the pieces together in such a way it left me crying. Toni Aleo has such a way with writing that leaves you wanting more. It's a perfect standalone or wonderful as part of the wider series. Would definitely recommend.

ARC received for an honest review

"The greatest things are worth the wait"

Sigh... this novella was everything I never knew I needed.

And I didn't know how much I missed Jude and Claire until I read it either.

I like the way that Ms Aleo tackles the hard subjects, and has me coming out loving the characters more than I thought I could.

This was a lovely look back at Jude and Claire as a couple. the struggles with hockey players being traded and the hardships it can put on relationships.

This pair are a force of nature, and nothing can keep them down. Their love for each other bounds off the pages.

It has made me want to go back and read Boarded by Love all over again.

I cannot get enough of Ms Aleo's hockey stories, and now I am impatient for more.

*** ARC Copy ***

I was given an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review. And honestly I loved it. I've been a fan of the Bellevue Bullies series and I feel this is a perfect novella for one of my favorite couples! I mean who wouldn't want to know more about a couple we all fell for in book one?

What makes me love it more? Is seeing that while Claire and Jude might have a perfect marriage they aren't perfect humans. Even though what they are having to go through in no way makes them less than, it is nice to see something portrayed that most don't talk about. It's nice for those that might be struggling with the same predicament. Toni Aleo does a wonderful job of noting the struggles and the pain a couple can go through and feel when trying to create a family. This book just made me love Claire and Jude more and I think it might be time for another reread of the whole series.
