I have never finished this book. I do pick it up whenever I can't sleep.

Dear God. What did I just read?

I just couldn't get into the stream of consciousness style. Mrs. Dalloway was better.

Students asked me yesterday what books I had been forced to read that I would rate 1 star. That I really did not like at all. This is definitely at the top of the list. Painful strings of awkward, self-important sentences that put me to sleep each night while I was in AP English lit. One day I want to give it another chance, but not any day soon. Sorry, James Joyce.

I was bored, so so bored, only continued bc its an audiobook but still would rather not listen to it than do

Simply brilliant. I look forward to tackling Ulysess again; maybe this time I'll finish it.

Word-vomit.

Salute to those who found this book "wonderful". I'm so glad I didn't have to read this whilst in high school or I would've jumped off a cliff.

UGH HES SO ME

Wish I had read this at a time when I could give it more undivided attention. Still, a rewarding read, though I prefer JJ’s Dubliners.
