Bit anachronistic, a bit rushed (especially the end), but extremely charming.
The coming-out scenes were so sweet. The pure trans joy experienced by Oliver when he was perceived as himself warmed my heart.
Clothes descriptions are historically accurate. You don't understand my happiness about it.
All in all, this book is the best Pride & Prejudice retelling I ever encountered (and I consumed a lot of them).
Swoon-worthy for sure!

An enjoyable and optimistic read. It was really enjoyable to read a classic in contemporary language, and one about queer society. This is also the first time I've heard of molly houses—definitely looking up some more literature about them!

This book was so CUTE. It had me squealing and kicking my feet right from the start, and it healed my little queer heart to read a book that I loved as a teen remixed to include a queer love story!!!
