Damn the ugly crying this book got out of me T_T
What a twist!! And that ending??!  Did not see it coming.
Finn and Riddick, throughout the book you saw them both in so many colors, as their own people and with each other.
Wish a friend like Turtle for us all<3
The playlist is really in-tune with the book, makes you feel more, and the experience stronger.
Alexandria you evil genius.

Omg this book ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ I didnโ€™t realize this was going to have me so emotional. I love and hate the ending. I need a novella check in on F&R during that โ€œ5 years laterโ€ and while Iโ€™ve heard nothing about that happening, Iโ€™m crossing my fingers that it does ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž

Wow. This book. I finished a little bit ago but couldn't get it all aligned in my head to write the review until now. This book will be in my head for a while.

Finn and his best friend Turtle decided to go cross country and surf the waves of California. Finn is determined to surf the Leviathan's, a small stretch of beach with the most intense and deadly waves. The residents of Star Cove do not look fondly on that plan, as the Leviathan's have their name for a reason, and one of the townspeople was killed while surfing them.

But Finn is an adrenaline junkie and is determined. When he runs into Riddick, a gruff surfer who offers to train Finn to have at least a chance on the waves there, Finn accepts. Riddick and Finn hit it off immediately and the angst between them is amazing.

Finn finally wins Riddick over and their relationship grows and flourishes. Even though Finn is getting stronger and more prepared for the Leviathan's, Riddick, Turtle and the other townspeople are still very apprehensive.

The characters in this story are truly well done. The writing and storytelling is fantastic. I wasn't sure how I felt about the book until I really sat back and thought about it. It is truly thought provoking and gut wrenching. It definitely won me over. I highly recommend it.

This book broke my heart entirely and I can never read it again, but I loved it so much.
The characters were all so great but obviously Riddick and Finn were my fave. They had both lost so much so you can feel the grief from right at the beginning, the whole book had such a sad undertone.

The side characters were alot of fun, I have a massive soft spot for Turtle.

I love Alexandra's writing style, the book was so easy to get into and had me hooked from the beginning. I guessed a few things about the plot but it didn't take away from the story at all!!

I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

MY HEART ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ’”๐ŸŒŠ

This book wrecked me in the best way. I think a little piece of my soul is still wandering the cove with Finn Summers โ€” the actual definition of a golden-hearted cinnamon roll ๐Ÿ’›

I adored him. I related to him. And I wanted to wrap him in bubble wrap and protect him from the world. Finn is sweet, vulnerable, and unforgettable.

Without giving anything away, this story is beautifully immersive, emotionally raw, and quietly powerful. It left me teary-eyed, soul-touched, and completely wrecked ๐Ÿ˜ญ.
