La verdad es que esta lectura me ha desconcertado mucho. La forma de narrar me ha gustado mucho y el modo en el que lleva a Elric es muy curioso. No había leído a ningún protagonista así...
El problema es que no ha sucedido prácticamente nada y no he podido quitarme de encima un sentimiento de irrealidad constante. Hay aspectos que están muy dejados y sin explorar. Quizá por eso me piense continuar la saga en un futuro.

This is a super intriguing book and a great introduction to the larger multiverse of Moorcock after finishing his Dorian Hawkmoon quadrilogy. Elric is a disabled philosopher emperor whose hedonist land of Melniboné makes for an incredible setting, supplemented by Moorcock's impressive and never intrusive worldbuilding. There isn't a bit of fat on this story - it's all the best parts of contemplative and pulpy fantasy, and the finale of Elric's chase after his evil cousin Yrkoon sets up the next entry perfectly.
The Elric series, and to a lesser extent the whole Eternal Champion series, was one of the primary reasons I grew up loving the fantasy genre. I re-read it so many times I can't count. Certainly one of the most interesting characters ever written. I love it still, and I hope you will too.

Perhaps a favourite book of the year, although I am sad he did not remain visibly disabled, it would be cool rep for a fantasy main character, especially of such a typical heroic tale.
