Adultos têm a mania de menosprezar crianças, sempre dizendo que elas são "pequenas demais" para executarem certas tarefas. A pequena Nell prova o contrário. Muito bom.

When you are told all the time that you are not big enough to help, you start to believe it yourself. All you need is a little encouragement from friends, and you can see just what you can do.

Very cute story. Watch the pictures -- as they are rolling the snowballs for the snowman, they spell out the word snowman.

I love the illustrations and the moral of the story. But BIG Mama, BIG Sarah, and BIG Lizzie reminded me more of Cinderella's stepmother and sisters than of a loving family. There is a lot of focus on saying no based on size rather than ability. The animal friends are the gem of the story. My son loved pointing to each animal, so we spent alot of time on those pages.
