I used to LOVE this series. Laugh out loud funny. The banter between the characters and familial relationships were so well developed.
However, the books have become predictable. It feels more like there is a list of events that have to happen and the reader can check them off the list as the pages get turned. You know a car is going to blow up. Stephanie gets covered in food. Mrs. Plum overindulges in something to deal with stress. Stephanie’s love life is an embarrassing mess.
28 is a quick easy read. Nothing significant really happens. Feels like a place holder book.

Like catching up with an old friend over coffee. Good solid book. Repetitive storyline is more like a checklist now, Lula’s hair, check; love triangle, check; Stephanie gets captured, check; car blows up, check. Loveable characters make the book. Quick read.

Had everything you would expect from the series, though not enough Ranger - I don't mind when Diesel turns up but he does tend to distract. Not my favourite in the series.

As per usual, Janet makes for an entertaining read. I enjoyed the little fun facts that Morelli knows about Stephanie and the cake bit. Oh and that Mama Plum is knitting!
As usual I enjoyed this Stephanie Plum book. Unfortunately I’m finding that I’m struggling at the beginning of the last few books of this series to get hooked from the beginning of the story. I continue reading though since I love the characters. Lula is awesome and reminds me of my real life best friend. She made the book great this time.
In Game On Diesel is back. There’s some normal hide and seek/cat and mouse type chase for Stephanie and Lula to find their biggest bail bond runner. This one is pretty smart though. I enjoyed the ending and Stephanie’s mom’s role this time too.
