//Small-ish age gap, Motorcycle gang, brother’s friend, employee x boss, virgin FMC, touch her and die, forced proximity, he falls first, grumpy/sunshine //
GUYS WHY HAS IT TAKEN ME THIS LONG TO READ THIS BOOK OH MY GOD! New favorite book from Zapata! I really loved Iris. Her story between father issues (he’s a deadbeat okay?), her mother passing away, to her also getting cancer when she was younger was so much. She comes off as very innocent, and she kinda is just because she’s always been dealing with blow after blow that life dealt.
Dex is a HUNK and will now be my favorite book boyfriend ever. He’s part of the MC widowmakers, he also runs a tattoo shop lovingly called Pins. I love him so much, broody, grumpy, has a mouth that won’t quit, and some anger issues. If you like a MMC that’s kind of a dick- this book is for you!

I think I found my type that I didn't know I had....
I just loved this book from the very beginning. Mariana Zapata is 2 for 2 for me. She may be becoming one of my favorite authors and I am not determined to read all her books.
Motorcycles. Tattoos. Overprotective, tall, dark, and handsome men. Found family. And the spicy was amazingly written.

"You've gotta be the best thing I never knew I wanted." Oh man.
PROS
*I liked both Iris, Ris, Ritz - a nice girl can still have the sass!- and Dex -this though man has his *charm, babe- and them as a couple
*Dex is smoking
*Sonny the brother was a hottie; I wouldn't mind having his story.
*Tattoos
*Ris is a vegetarian
Hot men went on my list of people who made me nervous and therefore had me acting like more of an idiot than usual.
-girl, I hear ya-
“When I have bad days, princess,”...
“I cry. I read. I clean. I eat crappy things. I swim or do the yard. I don’t make people feel like crap, your royal highness.”
-you go girl, damn right-
FOOTNOTES
*With all due respect, I don't like the name Charlie, and I wasn't a super fan of her calling him that. Dex is way better; this is all I am saying
*How the cherry popped? Funny-sad? LOL, better than hurting!
*Okay, It is quite annoying how Iris constantly mentions Sonny as the half brother, she also always add who she loves as much as her own part, but I mean, Girl, are you trying to prove that yourself or what? We already get it from the first time that he is your half-brother. Why mention it all the time....?
OVERALL
*It was my first read of Mariana Zapata, well normally I wouldn't say I like motorbike-y /MC related stuff, but I totally loved this book. (It's not an extreme MC thing but still.)
*This is a slow born, but the tension is always there, and It is still hot as a whole!
This book is angsty, funny, and romantic. Oh, I liked it very much!
"Thank you. You're the best thing that ever yelled at me."

It was better than Kulti - the writing was - but also it was just kind of immature. Cool concept but writing wasn’t as good as I would have liked. And I hated how often he called her babe. He’d call her babe like six times a conversation. Annoying.

I don’t have much to say because I took like a 3 week break between reading the first 75% and last 25% so it’s not all completely fresh, but I liked it well enough. Fun characters and an interesting enough plot to keep reading. It was pretty good I guess.
Iris is a big fat Mary Sue, Dex is an unrepentant shithead and somehow it still works. I skipped the epilogue, I am so tired of every romance ending with a fucking baby (especially when the main characters make no sense as parents)
I’m making my way through this authors whole backlog and so far nothing has quite compared to the Wall of Winnipeg or Rhodes. This makes me a bit sad, but that’s my fault not the authors :)
