It’s not bad but the male main character really pissed me off sometimes. Because the FMC was like “I don’t like being controlled” and all bro was doing was controlling her. Like huh!?!?

There is something about the writing style that I felt like I was reading wattpad 10 years ago and not any of the good fan fic stories. The story was fine and the spice was ok it just didn’t really feel like my cup of tea.

Grown ass adult man seemingly obsessed with but treats his wife and lets her be treated like shit and refuses to communicate with her nor apologize.
It had potential it really did because the writing was decent but im sorry This book sucked ass plotwise
The h Everly was always insulted by the H declan's circle of friends aka his ex fuckbudy piper and her stepsister Anastasia who wants him and he never stands up to her , they would say the most horrible things to her and he's just sit there and let her take it , the only one that was decent to her was her other step sister Clara
Declan couldn't stand her being around Wes but hand no issue being touched by Piper and Anastasia
He did tell her that there was nothing going on with Piper or Anastasia or anyone else but did a shit job actually showing it , he was hanging out with them all the time letting them touche him and make digs at his wife , he never once stood up to them and said hey listen you little shits that's my wife and i don't like you talking that way to her , NOT ONCE
The conflict with her step sister was simply lame lazy writing , the H Declan told the h Everly That he didn't love her and never will and that he's having a child with her sister but that shouldn't affect their marriage , excuse me ????EX FUCKING CUSE ME ?? you're telling her you're gonna fuck and impregnate her sister but you also want her to still be your wife and expect her to jump up and down ??
Then turns out he was never gonna do any of that it was just a plan he came up with to buy back her mother's studio but didn't tell her because she wouldnt approve , why the fuck wouldnt she approve of a few fake dates with her step sister if it would win her her mom's studio back ?? Like that makes 0 sense
The author just wanted drama and didn't know how to pull it off
It's so funny that i remember all the side characters names like piper, wes, clara , anastasia , carl WHO IS DEAD but i have to think really hard to remember Declan and Everly's names that's how much the side characters had more impact than the main ones.
Declan was a robot who suddenly was programmed to have a weird sexual obsession with his partner's daughter but lacks the parts that make him show respect and apologize
Everly deserved better , she was hella annoying and whiny and let everyone walk all over her but she had potential and i wish she followed through with her decision to move back home or at least done something like fire Piper and revoke Anastasia's membership but no she didn't because she's a doormat , oh no sorry she's just too loving
