medium-paced

So I reread this book and change my mind, 5 stars was too much. The FMC in this book was too whiny, at the end just made me mad hahaha. But it was a nice time and a good story, so no regrets for the time spent.

DID NOT FINISH: 32%

DNF at 32% 😪. Everly is honestly just annoying—I do not like her, and I can’t push through this book with such a frustrating FMC. I also don’t like how Declan is so obsessed with her for no real reason; it’s giving insta-love without depth or connection. Plus, she’s
literally seeing this other guy, Wes. I know it’s not technically a cheating trope, but it low-key reminds me of one because she and Declan have been hooking up. I get that it’s not technically cheating, but I just don’t like reading about it.
I prefer when both characters are fully invested and not seeing other people.

I usually never give such low stars. I loved the story, plot and the concept but I was left feeling very frustrated and upset with Declan towards the end. He honestly pissed me off at the end. Their love was beautifully written and the writing was amazing but Declan was an asshole towards the end and I was left feeling very upset and frustrated with him. He had the audacity to accuse Everly when he was the one with the drama. As well as, he knows her past and still accused her. His behavior was the reason I only gave it 3 starts. Other than that, the story was beautifully done and it’s a great book. I would definitely recommend it just would come with a warning.
