Thoughts:
Love 50% beginning. But the middle of the book was pure chaos. I’m in love with the first part of the book and few bit of the last part.
I get it Evie went through a lot. But I just hated how she keeps giving mixed signals to Declan. If you don’t want him just say it. It annoyed me too when she keeps on going out with West like leading him thinking they were in relationship even though she was married already. Declan was an okay character but that man really need to learn on how to communicate.
I like them both in the beginning but started fell out once they got married. Bored reading about them going back and forth and how they acted. Some parts were confusing and all over the places. Like everything happened so fast at the same time. What I’m curious about was what happened the stepmother and the stepsister?
Overall it was an okay book with a bit of up and down.

Another hit for Shain Rose. Love the characters in this universe. She's great about writing strong FMCs that resist until finally giving in to their men at JUST the right time. The audio on this was amazing, two high quality narrators.
I really dont like an age gap. I found out he is 10 years older than her. I tried to push through but i couldn't.
I really liked this! Reminded me a bit of my early days reading smut, almost 9 years ago, the confusion, so many things happening at the same time, the big group with a hateful person in the middle.
I would probably say this is more in the 3.5-ish range for me.
I did have issues with the book. Declan's whole betrayal and breaking her heart just to help her... not a favorite. I don't like when people make decisions for others in such a high risk scenario.
I understood wanting to do a relationship beyond the will but did we really have to go to the lengths of hurting Evie so much?
