I just could not enjoy this at all and really should have DNFed but I kept going. There was so much potential for couple and book. I felt their chemistry and the spice was great but dear lord the miscommunication on this one was beyond the pale. I couldn't take it. No way in hell would I have taken this man back after what he was doing in the end even if it was for "my own good". I really enjoyed fractured freedom and may try to go back to that series but this one was rough.

Dnf at 71%. I don't mind an aggressive or slightly possessive love interest but Declan takes it too far and completely doesn't take Everly into account when he decides something and spoiler it's not cute to demand she takes birth control out in front of her doctor and then threaten to take it out yourself when she hasn't even agreed to actually date you or have kids with you (or ever tbh). Especially when she was already mad because Declan was making decisions without her or without consulting her.

I love Everly, she is such a fun character in the book. I think Declan came off a little strong but that’s to be expected with his personality.

I thought this book had no romance at all. The characters hated each other the whole time and I didn’t even think they actually loved each other in the end. The mmc is a complete red flag and not in a good kind of way. Never want to reread this book.
The relationship between Declan and Everly (or Drop, as he calls her) just made zero sense to me. The betrayal? Again, zero sense. I STRUGGLED to finish this book but I managed.
