Although there were parts of this book I sincerely enjoyed especially learning more of the gods and goddesses. The found family aspect growing stronger and each character growing and accepting their parts and faults. <Spoiler> The part that bothered me is what I felt to be Mercy's unnecessary death. I hope they explain the purpose of it in the next book.

this is a bitter sweet ending to the sister of Salem series in Hex you we follow Mercy and hunter as they try to save their town from the evil that has infected it. This story I enjoyed reading but something is holding me back from giving it a five star and it might be how fast and convent the ending happens other then that I get what people are saying about this book but I still enjoyed it and that ending had me heart broken to say the least.

I received an eARC for my honest opinion.

This was by far the best book out of the trilogy. It picks up right where Mercy was stuck in the Egyptian underworld and the sisters are still fighting with each other and trying to figure out what was going on in the town and who is causing all the problems.

I thought this book was a great wrap up of the trilogy. In this book you will see character growth in both the main characters and the side characters. I thought Mercy’s “Oh” moment when she figured out what she was doing wrong was great and you really could see how hard she was trying to change it around. With Hunter, I believe she was able to see that she could not do this alone anymore and realized how important it was to have your family and friends there to help you through these hard times. However, my favorite character has to be hands down Xena, she is the best cat/human ever! I also really liked Khenti a lot, his character was great to have in this book as a cool and calm person, but with his introduction to the modern world was amusing. I liked having those laughing moments between the darker/heavier moments.

I loved the writing style, it flows and is fast paced, yes you will come across some slow parts but do not make that the main point to not read this great book. I thought the whole point of the plot was well communicated and executed well. I really enjoyed that the authors did not give a huge amount of time with recapping what happened in the last book. No worries you will not have a problem with following along in this book because the writing was that great. I really enjoyed the twists and turns throughout the book and all the characters I thought were all different but added a new depth to the book, also they were really relatable.

If you have not read this trilogy yet, I highly recommend it. Every book gets better and better, if you like reading YA, fantasy, action, drama, awesome cat/human, great plot, great characters, you really should pick up this trilogy.

I want to thank NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the opportunity to review this book.

First, thank you Wednesday Books and Netgalley for the arc.

After reading the first book, I was definitely hooked! The story started so strong with worldbuilding and the plot was strong. I started to lose interest with the second book. It felt like a side quest/filler episode type of vibe. I had to know how the series ended though and I do love a lot of their work so I had hope it would end strong.

Well, it was a flop. It was rushed, anti climactic, and juvenile. I understand the characters are 16 but they felt 13 in this one. The writing was significantly lesser quality. There were a few nore characters brought into the group that just bogged it down more. Hunter and Mercy were very preachy and a tad self righteous about being the towns protectors.

Lastly there were a lot of holes left open for side stories and even a continuation and it throws off the closure being so blatant
