very good, suspenseful but there I wasn’t able to figure out what was going on until the very end. and even then, I could go back and reread for more details about specific parts of the story. highly recommend to anyone who loves suspense/romance!

Slow & predictable. I Often found it hard to keep reading but pushed through til the end. Not a whole lot of twists & turns.

It was decent, but there was a lot of predictability. I also dislike when authors write about bipolar, but clearly aren’t familiar with it.

As my third Sally Hepworth work, I’m realizing that she is an auto-read author for me.
This felt very much in the way of Darling Girls in terms of reveals. You start off with a premise that sounds so obvious and then every time you think you’ve got it, she ends the chapter on an ominous sentence that flips the entire narrative and you have to start all over again. This style of writing tickles me whenever I come across it and look forward to more works from her.
Not a single character is meant to be likable or redeemable in this, which admittedly, doesn’t typically do well with the average reader. I think her next release, Darling Girls, corrects this and gives you someone to root for.
If you love to read about toxic marriages with secrets and a twist you’ll literally not see coming, I’d recommend this!
