"The Beauty of the House is immeasurable; its Kindness infinite."
I feel like this book really relied on the interesting concept. The main plot was good, but it became a bit of a slog to read of a solitary man's journey in a never ending place. The author has a wonderful gift for bringing all sorts of characters to life, but that wasn't enough to bring it up to 5 stars for me.

This feels like a book you’d read in high school and write an essay on, but in the best way possible… It was tricky to get started but once I got into it I was hooked! Started to feel like a mystery that was being solved instead of a journal from a character in an obscure world. Great read 4.5/5

It is absolutely best to go into this knowing nothing about it. It’s a little confusing, but I think knowing anything would be a spoiler. I didn’t read the summary, I didn’t look up reviews. I went into it 100% blind and I recommend doing so for others as well

The beginning was a little slow for me, and I didn't enjoy the random capitalization at first, but I'm glad that I continued reading. The writing was beautiful, the pacing was perfect and the characters were wonderful. This book was both melancholy and cozy all at once. The author's world building and sensory descriptions are some of the best I've ever read.
