I love Emma Chase and her books. She's the Queen of male POV and I've been waiting to Appealed! We met Brent in Overruled and I just knew his book was going to be awesome! He's funny, witty, sarcastic, and sexy. When Brent has to go up against an old friend in court, things heat up. He hasn't seen Kennedy in fourteen years. He doesn't know why she left without a word and he hasn't forgotten about her. Kennedy has a different recollection of what happened all those years ago and she's mad. Really mad. She's also changed her appearance. But, Brent doesn’t care about that. He always thought she was beautiful. He's determined to get to know her again, but she's not having it. Can they go up against each other in the courtroom and the bedroom? Can they keep their feelings out of the case? I knew Brent's story was going to be emotional. He's was always too happy go lucky. I loved this story. Second chance romances are my favorite and this was perfect. I loved seeing Stanton, Sofia, Jake, Chelsea and the kids!
"You think my cock is powerful enough to turn you stupid?"
My eleven-year-old self was right: girls are weird.
"None of you understands us."
"Au contraire, Fresh Prince, they understand all too well - that's your problem." I tell her wisely.

I love Emma Chase! Her books make me laugh, feel happy, sometimes sad. All the time happy. And this book fits right in with the rest of them.
Brent is totally a player until Kennedy comes back in to his life.
He doesn't know about some of the past. But he always wanted her.
She always wanted him but his ex's didn't like the relationship between them and would make her life a living hell.
So now that they are older he has some groveling/making up to do. Also he has to kind of learn what happened when he wan't around.
I loved the ending omg it was AMAZING!! <3

I always find it amazing how Emma Chase tells a story... once I start reading I am completely lost to it. How it's always fresh and engaging, sexy and fun. There are these great characters that I want to be friends with and hang out with. She's truly a fantastic storyteller. Appealed was everything I could have ever wanted, then right at the end, it was more. It was pretty damn perfect. 5 stars!
So, I loved this, I think that's obvious. Brent was so full of personality and charm, I couldn't get enough. Kennedy was great too. I love a feisty woman who stand up for herself. One of my favorite things is animosity between characters because it explodes into electric chemistry. This was off the charts! I love when characters give good fight. It was fun and playful and I could feel that want and need between the two. There was this passionate connection that created so much heat. Holy hot! So awesome!
Such an excellent story. Loved learning the history between Brent and Kennedy, excellent development with a fantastic build. So much tension between the two, I loved watching them spar and the subtle changes as they open up and things progress. Brent is funny and sexy but there is this undercurrent of emotion and I love his self discovery. I wanted to hug him, scream at him, and tell him to get a clue all at once. I was just so invested. It was awesome! I could really relate to Kennedy, how she got such a tough exterior and how that formed who she was today.
There were so many funny parts in this. I burst out laughing a few times. There was a great balance of entertaining, sexy, and emotional throughout. It was all so well thought out. There's more Stanton and Sofia and Jake and Chelsea as well. I loved all the updates about what was new for Stanton and Sofia and what was going on with the McQuaid kids. Those kids still melt my heart. It was just such a solid, well rounded story. There were new characters as well and they were all just so great and smartly woven in.
Fantastic writing, story, characters, build, pace, everything. As much as I didn't want it to end, as much as I didn't want to say goodbye, it really was the perfect ending. And that extended epilogue, it was beautiful… the most precious and wonderful ending ever. All the feelings and connections pouring through made my heart feel full and happy and loved the characters even more. Thank you to Emma Chase.

This is my favorite Emma Chase book since Tangled. I always love how she writes from the male POV and with this one, she creates a fully fleshed out hero in Brent. Here's the rundown:
What I Liked:
- Like I said, Brent is awesome. He's hilarious and aware of his own mortality due to his childhood accident, which is a nice change from the super alpha dogs we see in a lot of contemporary romance. I love that he sees a therapist regularly, realizes when he's at fault and works to remedy the situation quickly.
- Kennedy is probably my favorite Emma Chase heroine. I've remarked in the past that while all her male characters are well developed, the women are sometimes a bit generic, but not here. Kennedy is a breath of fresh air and I can totally understand her motivations and rationale for who she is. I want to be her BFF.
- I always love a good friends to lovers, workplace sparring trope, so this book at me at hello.
- The humor, which is exemplified in one quote: "Who the hell are you?" -says a character. "There's only one way I can answer. I lower my voice and look him in the eyes. 'I'm Batman.'" That right there had me laughing for minutes.
What I Didn't Like:
- There's really not much I could put here. Possibly the only thing is that I can't imagine Brent being that much of an idiot when he was younger, but then again, who isn't.
Five super enthusiastic stars for Emma Chase!

My favorite female character in all the books I’ve read, might be Kennedy. She’s a strong woman that has grown from horrible experiences. Brent falls so in love with her! Loved their chemistry
It was fun and hot as hell!
I liked the banter and the heat between the two charachters but i found their main problem kinda unecessary.
But it was a fun read! I liked that we saw the other charachters and the children as well. It was very cute!

Quick thoughts:
Story: 3.5/5 stars
Writing: 3.5/5 stars
Characters: 3/5 stars
Sexiness: 4/5 stars
Cover: 2.5/5 stars
Overall rating: 3.5/5 stars – Appealed was super quick, super fun and really sexy, what else could you possibly ask for?! It WAS a tiny bit instalovy, but considering this is a second-chance kind of romance, it didn't bother me all that much (and I usually can't stand insta-love, so this was well-done!). Other than that, I really enjoyed Brent's character. He was full of humor which I'm not used to, but thoroughly enjoyed! Kennedy sounded like a bitch at first (which was the point) but eventually, I warmed up to her. She's not my favorite of the ladies in this series, but I still liked her!

I knew it with Tangled, I definitely knew it with Overruled, I absolutely flipping knew it with Sustained, but Appealed has officially confirmed it; Emma Chase is the queen of the male POV. I have been desperate for this book for so long and to say “it did not disappoint,” would be a major understatement.
This entire series has been one 5 star read after another, and I fell head over heels for Brent and Kennedy’s story. Second chance romance where the main characters are on opposing sides in the courtroom? It made for truly addictive reading. Man, talk about sexual tension and chemistry. These two were on fire!!!!
I loved everything about their story (both past and present) and I loved seeing the rest of the gang, and where they are now; the author really made me feel like I was part of the group, and I really will miss them now the series has ended.
Usually I can't wait to read an epilogue (a big fat HEA is my favourite part of a book), but with Appealed, I just wasn't ready for it to be over. I wanted this book to go on forever!!! But even so, the epilogue was perfection, and the extended epilogue we are treated to? Even more so.
No one writes quite like Emma Chase. 5 perfect stars.
