Re-read 7-8-16
I must say.. I love these two.
Andddd I love anything Emma Chase writes.
My above all, one click author.
Did I mention the voodoo power?
I'm ruined.
There's always a book funk after Emma Chase.
Always.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Emma Chase does the guy's point of you like no other! I was really excited to get Brents story, I really liked him in the previous books, and this definitely did not disappoint. Kennedy definitely seemed like the perfect match, and I really enjoyed their backstory. This was a true second chance love story, and it really worked well. Some of my favorite parts of the book or the court scenes with Brent and Kennedy on opposite sides, And early in the book it was quite amusing what the judge had them do. All in all a very good ending to a really good series!
Wonder if the extended epilogue is a hint to any series to come??? I think that would be fun :-)

A must read series of stand alone stories with characters you fall in love with immediately. The lawyers that work together, play together, and always have each other's backs - especially when it comes to blooming relationships that come their way - each in their own unique fashion. This is Brent and Kennedy's story and it's gorgeous, emotional, gut wrenching, and heart warming. They've know each other since they were kids; had some life changing experiences together in high school, and meet again in the court room as seasoned attorneys. She's the prosecutor and he's the defense attorney going against her! Finding their way to forgiveness may take time but their story is beautiful.......Don't miss this!
I Loved this book. It was funny, had some tear jerker moments, and was super lovey.
Not bad like Vicious, but probably one of the most boring romances I’ve ever had the displeasure of reading.
This was my first series by Emma Chase, and it certainly won't be my last. Each book in the series got better, and I adored every single character. Each plot in the series was significantly different, which does not always happen.
Brent's charm and and boyish nature stole the show in this book. Seeing him go toe to toe with Kennedy brought so much heat to the scenes, and his willingness to do what it takes to win her back was amazing! Of course it is always nice yonder how the other characters are doing, and the final epilogue was sweet and competed the circular plot of "Appealed."

I've liked Brent this whole series, and was looking forward to his story. This shifts the classic stereotype romance story in that she is also from a well-to-do family, literally the girl next door, and they have a lot of messy history together. Once again, it's unusual to have the man tell the whole story - Emma Chase is a master at this, and I applaud it. I'm kind-of nervous about the next time they face each other in court, but they make a good pair, baggage and all.
“I want to figure her out, to learn every part of her–the soft curves, the sharp edges, the dark, shadowy corners she tries so hard to hide. I want to break down her doors, climb her ivory tower. I want to slay all her ducking dragons. She probably won’t appreciate it at first–but eventually she’ll come around. It’ll be great.”
Appealed is the third book in the Legal Briefs series, and while it can be read as a stand-alone, I do recommend that you check out the other books in this series for full enjoyment.
One the things that I loved the most about this book, was that it was all from Brent’s point of view. I loved getting to be inside Brent’s head, and let me tell you, his head was quiet a mess. Brent was one of those guys who loved living the single life and never really had his sights set on settling down…that is until Kennedy comes back into the picture. Kennedy was the one. The girl he always wanted, but thought broke his heart. Only, Kennedy is nothing like the girl he remembers. Kennedy is all grown up and wants to make Brent’s life a living hell. Sounds easy enough right? Kennedy however, was no way prepared for the connection and chemistry that she and Brent would have. The more time these two spend together, the harder it is to fight what fate is throwing at them. Will Brent and Kennedy be able to move on from the past? What will happen when the two of them can no longer fight the fire that is growing between the two of them? You’ll just have to read to find out!
Appealed was a quick and easy read for me. It is an exciting story about first love and a second chance at romance with a little court drama thrown in between. I was pulled into Brent and Kennedy’s story from the very beginning and devoured this book in one sitting. I couldn’t get enough of Brent and Kennedy together. I loved the chemistry and connection that they shared. Their banter was incredible. They both gave just as good as they got and I couldn’t wait to hear what they would say next. Their story was smart, sexy, hilarious at times and overall, just really entertaining. There is just so much to love about this book and it is definitely my favorite in this series.
Emma Chase has given me one incredible read. I’ve followed the Legal Brief Series from the very beginning and with each book, I have fallen more in love with the characters and this series. If you’ve been thinking about checking out this series, I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed. What you will get is an entertaining story-line with fun characters, a little drama and a lot of sexy good romance!
