I want to get back to this, but I have to focus on another book series so I will pause on reading this. I hope to come back to it once I finish the other book series

I had high hopes for this book - because you know, elf king. I like the idea and I like most of the characters but everything just happened too fast. On Luella’s second (maybe third) encounter with Willow, she calls him her closest friend? What? And the elf king is cold to her maybe once or twice before immediately becoming kind. It just left a lot to be desired.

This book was short but dense which translated into a not so quick read for me.
Reading the first 10 pages i was almost sure it would be a DNF and i would not like it.
But i just kept reading and during sometime i started enjoying it.
It’s not the best book or the best read and to be honest im not sure im going to continue with the other books in this series.
But it was still quite enjoyable and my favourite character would a b s o l u t e l y have to he HOOK < 3
The main character, Luella, is supposedly 19 but looks and acts like she’s 27 honestly. I didnt hate her but like meh she could be kind of annoying.
I think i was kind of just expecting it to be better.
It was good, it was enjoyable, witty.
The plot was kind of bland, like we didnt really get too much information of what she was figuring out, and it was definitely more romance centred. But i feel like in both aspects it was lacking so it just wasnt the most action packed and plot-based book.
Its just a lot of herbs and a lot of emotions and explaininh of the world and HOOK, but we love hook so nobodys complaining.
And most of the characters were enjoyable and cute and friendly.
Like i wouldnt recommend it, but i would recommend it if you werent looking for something amazing but a decent read.

I loved it !!!!!! I went into it with low expectations, not knowing what to expect, as this was my first novel from Elise Kova. But it certainly did not disappoint!!!

Tres estrellas.
