Read this to my fourth graders. It was really good and they really enjoyed reading it together

Absolutely fabulous early grade novel for fans of Beverly Cleary and Judy Blume. This story of a war of wits between an intelligent boy and his teacher is a page turner, completely believable, and says quite a bit about the miraculous powers of teachers and words. A wonderful lesson that doesn't taste like a vegetable.

Good book about initiative.
funny hopeful fast-paced

Reading this was so nostalgic 🥹

one of my favorite childhood books
