Loved this one. A little lesson in how we really have the power to change the world. Got a little teary-eyed near the end with all the triumph of the human spirt-type stuff.

Read it to your kids aged 8-11.

Nick's 5th grade Language Arts teacher is serious about words--she believes the dictionary is the highest authority--but Nick decides to shake up her classroom (and eventually the school, the town, the country, and the English language) by inventing a new word!

This is a short, interesting story about the power of a simple idea. Despite the Big Questions it raises about language and authority, it's not very deep. Still, a good read for habitual and reluctant readers alike.

Audio book with the boys! We finished the whole thing in a day, so I’d say we enjoyed it. It created some interesting conversations and made us all laugh.

a great high interest fast moving book

What a good freaking story about a boy who had an idea and took it, even going as far as to push against those pushing back. Did I tear up at the end? Ya damn well know I did.

I read this book in elementary school and really enjoyed it. I think this would be a fun book to read aloud and discuss how people working together make change.

Whole family rated this 5 stars. A delight of a book, with well-developed adult and kid characters. Perfection!
