This book took me a while to read. It was hard to get into and the plot was alright. It started to get good towards the end when they were finally revealing the backstory behind Melanie. It was sad about what happened to her. I just felt bad for Anne when she barely found out at the end of the book about Derrecks affair. Paula was so annoying and she only had that affair to get back at Anne when it wa never her fault about her parents adopting Melanie. Overall, the plot was descent but it could’ve been written better so it could be an easier read. The ending of the book was also kinda confusing. Like is Anne gonna get a divorce with derreck or not ??

I thought the book was really good up to the ending. I even thought of a better ending for this book, because I truly enjoyed it up to that point. The ended crashed and burned for me. It was as if the author rushed to finish the ending.
