Could have been worse. One star away from a disaster. Could have been much better too. Plenty of room for improvement.

The writing style was ok. But too many repetitions. We know how she feels. No need to say it again 20 pages later.

Story was poor. Just unbelievable how the characters were immature and stereotypical: The hard and heartless bosses, the misogynistic doctor, the meek lawyer who turns out to be a sociopath, etc.

No really - I enjoyed this read. It pivoted between the points of two women intertwined in the same scandal, not just by design but also by fate (no spoilers here).

Anticipating the moves of the 'villain' in this read could be obvious to those that immerse themselves heavily into this sort of book genre.

But the way the author, Leslie Wolfe, is able to cinch of the story telling with the skills of a seasoned surgeon's stitches (get it? You will, LOL) - coupled with providing us an ending that I myself found surprising and only had just began to think -- is it possible..... and it was. Made for a very satisfying ending!

Decently interesting plot with a few good twists. The pacing was a little off at times and had some unexplored subplots that may have helped the rest of the story make more sense. The execution of the ending was a little disappointing. But overall, a decent read.
