The Story:

I rarely read a sequel right after the first book but I could not help myself here. Iker and Langley have such strong chemistry and I couldn’t wait to see what he would do to get her back. I loved it.

GREAT SHORT DUET
This is the second book in the duet following Langley and Iker. This is set 9 months after the dining of book 2 . Once again, I listened to this book, and dang, it was so good. Iker knows he has made a horrible mistake, and when he comes back from deployment, he is going to find Langley, but now she is a big life change that will throw a wrench in his groveling. I love these characters. It seems very realistic to me, but rebecca abs Jay do that so well. You know they are different and that it is not going to be easy. It was emotional and just a great afternoon listen.

"Boy in Luv," the second installment in the In Luv Duet by Jay Crownover and Rebecca Yarros, wraps up the series with a swift yet satisfying conclusion. Clocking in at 195 pages, this super quick read follows Langley Vaughn, who, after a whirlwind romance that ended in heartbreak, has spent the last nine months picking up the pieces of her shattered heart. The culprit? Iker Alvarez, a man with a past and secrets that drove a wedge between them. As fate would have it, Iker returns, looking better than ever and determined to make amends for the biggest mistake of his life.

The authors navigate the complexities of love, regret, and redemption in a condensed yet impactful plot. The character development is commendable, portraying Langley's resilience and Iker's realization of the gravity of his actions. The chemistry between the protagonists remains palpable, adding a layer of authenticity to their journey.

As the conclusion to the In Luv Duet, "Boy in Luv" ties up loose ends and delivers the promised happily ever after. Fans of the series will appreciate the resolution, and new readers looking for a quick, cute, and emotionally satisfying romance will find this duet a delightful escape.

I liked the first book marginally better, but the issues that I had with the characters being flat and one dimensional transferred to this book too. The spice was just ok to me, so this book having more sex scenes instead of focusing on resolving the conflict didn't work for me.
