intriguing concept, a little bloated and fanfic-y but easy to read and  lovingly trans, with some real resonant depictions of dysphoria

Unexpectedly funny! Alyson Greaves has a really fantastic sense of who her characters are, and she gives us some evocative and interesting writing on just a technical level, with witty, heartfelt dialogue and emotional internal monologue. If I had one issue, it's that the book is a bit too light on incident, especially given that it is marketed as a thriller. This is clearly a collection of serialized chapters in a larger story; as a result, it kind of just ends but doesn't really have a climax or conclusion.

this book is going to sit with me for a long fucking time. perhaps the best portrayal of transfemininity i have ever read, and caused me to think and rethink so many parts of my transition.

this book was the first time i have ever felt compelled to make a playlist about someone else's characters instead of my own. i'm going to be thinking about Stef and Christine - especially Christine - for a long time.
