I liked that it was funny with the comical writing style of Alexis.
However, Arden and Caspian barely interacted, the reader was kept out of their interactions in the bedrooms. It made it hard to understand their dynamic and why they even cared about each other…
I prefered Arden with his bestie to be honest. They had more chemistry.
I also didn’t like how it followed 50 shades of grey’s plot very closely, I was sent back to my teenage self reading it…
Caspian is a red flag and treats Arden like a boytoy. He is so disconnected from reality and human emotions, that’s it’s a pain to watch Arden trying to connect with him. My fav chapter was when Arden ran away to do drugs with Caspian’s sister lol
It lacked substance. It felt dry and problematic.
I wish I didn’t read this, it left a bad taste in my mouth.

I’ll be honest, I definitely judged this book by the cover and title. I was so pleasantly surprised and blown away. This was beautifully written with a main character that stole my heart. It has easily become a favourite.

Unexpectedly delightful - this is not a spicy story, it’s more of a love story.

Just reread this before picking up the sequel and gotta say that I loved it even more than the first time. Ahh I love Arden so much and can’t wait to see what he gets up to in the next book. I’m ready for all the laughs and angst!

4 stars + 1 star because of Arden
I absolutely loved this book! The entire time I was reading it, I kept hoping that it wouldn’t end (which is funny since this was over 300 pages in length). Therefore I’m ecstatic that there will be more books in the series.
Looking at the reviews, it’s clear that while some people immensely enjoyed this, others did not. While I understand some of the critiques, like not getting to fully know about Caspian and his inner demons, I’m more than willing to wait and discover what those will be throughout the next few books. I personally enjoyed the slow manner in which Caspian and Arden’s relationship is developing. They still have a long way to go before their relationship is anything near being whole and I’m excited to go on that journey with them.
In terms of the characters, Caspian is still largely a mystery and I hope to learn more about him in the next book. Arden on the other hand, I found to be utterly adorable. I loved everything about him from his wit, to his charming personality, his insecurities, and even his crying jags. He kept me entertained throughout and I couldn't help but to root for him. I would have given this book 4 stars, but am adding 1 more star solely due to how much I loved Arden.
Can't wait for the next book!
