I loved this book. Its sooo intriguing that i couldn't put it down. I think it is definitely worth reading.

great potential, poor execution. i still love the first book.

even though the book low-key put me in a reading slump, i absolutely loved the characters and the ending.
the only reason it put me in a reading slump was the plot; like there was only one mission that was maintained the whole book, it just failed to keep me interested tbh. and because the main characters didn't really know how to find Vanik and only knew they needed to stop him, it seemed unreasonable and kind of hard to stay intrigued.
none the less, THE CHARACTERS!!
ward is officially in my list of favourite Lynette Noni men (the list currently consists of; caldon, jaren, jordan and now landon/ward). Even though he was like 'possessed' for the entirety of this book he still has that special place in my heart.
lyss was pissing me off whenever she would think about ward because she always brought in the fact that he 'betrayed her', like babe cmon he only did it to save your like, where is the appreciation for that? AND she was obviously in love with him but would never except it? i would have killed for a landon/lyss kiss though.
ALSO ENZO, that man is mine fr !!!
