Katy moves from Florida to a tiny little town in West Virginia after her fathers death. When she moves in she notices 2 gorgeous but mysterious neighbors who live next door and when she knocks on their door and Daemon Black answers it, he's infuriating and a complete ass. One day as Katy runs off after yet another argument between her and Daemon she almost gets hit by a truck until Daemon literally stops time to prevent her from being hit. Now that she's been exposed to his extraterrestrial abilities she's glowing like a beacon, basically calling all aliens to her and unfortunately, these aliens have enemies, deadly ones.
This book was great! While I didn't really get to interested in its action I ADORED the relationship between Katy and Daemon, that 'I hate you yet I yearn for you' relationship. It gets so steamy at times and I love all the tension the author builds up between the two. I loved Katy and I loved Daemon. I feel like A lot of readers can relate to Katy, being a book lover and book blogger. Daemons personality was just amazing! I loved his mood swings (I cannot think of any other word to explain it lol), loved the book!

Of course I would go back to one of my favourite books. It’s no secret that I adore JLA books. Obsidian was one of the very first books I read by her when I was younger and every time I do a reread I feel the same if not even better feelings about it! I adore Katy, I find her surprising and she fit so well with Daemon. I appreciate the fact that she is a book blogger, can she be anymore cooler? Then we have Dee, everyone should have a supportive and lovely friend like her.

I enjoyed my reread of this first book and can’t wait to reread book 2. It set the scene for amazing things to occur. Daemon is the ultimate book boyfriend. At first he was cold and annoying as of course as we got to realise why he treated Katy the way he did. We understand him more. We grow with the story and I thought that was excellent.

A lot of people think this book is cliche... and even if it is, I loved it! The romance was really intriguing and the whole premise behind the plot is very understandable but interesting and unique.
