I LOVED THIS BOOK. Go in blind. Just read it. You will love it.

It made me cry more than any book ever has. Actually no book or movie makes me cry. Yes, Nadia Hashimi, you did the history of Afghanistan justice.

This was an interesting read, I just thought the story lacked some pace.

This is a very beautiful book and a propulsive read. It was interesting to read about a slice of Afghan history at this time when Afghanistan is in the spotlight.

I listened to the audiobook, and the narration was excellent, but there were times I wished I was reading it so I could savor some of the sentences longer and have a little more time for contemplation.

I look forward to reading more books by this author.

A beautifully written story. The beginning of the story moves very quickly with excitement, but slows down a bit by the time the middle of Part 2 is reached. The story filled me with hope and sorrow and joy ...an overall fantastic read!
