I was on a plane to Thunder Bay for this thanksgiving weekend when shortly after take off I decided I should start a new book. So I opened up some Margaret Atwood, and it was good. So good my use of the English language doesn't even deserve to explain how thoughtfully written it was. And I started thinking - this is not the quick airplane read my tired mind can handle right now - and I promptly closed the book and opted for this equally well-written Abbi Glines sequel...
Glines masterfully creates a romantic tale of an understated hot girl who's entire family has died on her or left her and a mega rockstar's mega hot son, as they try to dodge the craziness that is their next of kin.
Blaire is a blonde girl with hot boobs and was once Rush's 'girl'. In Rush's mind, despite the fact she has skipped town after he lied to her and moved back with her high school sweetheart/best friend, she is still his girl. But Blaire finds out she's pregnant, her ex undergoes an unnatural personally shift, his gma stays impossibly liberal for south of the mason dixie and then Blair wins the lottery by having several young rich males offer to pay her rent back at Rosemary Beach, so avoiding Rush after finding out he hid the fact his half sister is also her half sister became much more difficult. But we don't really see that tension too much because Gline aims to please so we get hot sex scenes left and right! Eat that Maggie!!
So some more jealousy happens, a lot of Neanderthal grunting on Rush's part, even more eye rolling on Woods', ton of oral sex and a healthy dose of family hysterics, oh and a coma! happen. It's a finely-wovenyarn of dating within your family tree!
In the end we learn the feminist value of an overbearing caveman boyfriend and we never meet the famous rockstar. Any attempts at reading Atwood now will pale in comparison!

I totally have a Rush Crush!
I thought this book was just perfect. There were times I wanted to yell at both Rush and Blaire and shake them. This book made me happy.

Argh beautiful and absolutely breathtaking ❤
Though an epilogue wouldn't hurt. I felt like the ending was a bit RUSHed. Pun definitely intended.

I think I should start this review by saying this is more of a gush than a review. I’m a huge Abbi Glines fan. Rabid fan. I’ll read anything she writes – anything!!! Well, except The Vincent Boys because I read The Vincent Brothers first on accident and just could not stand watching Sawyer get his heartbroken.
I bought Fallen Too Far because I knew it would be a hot romance that I could lose myself in, and then, then came the cliffhangers of all cliffhangers and I honestly contemplated throwing my kindle, my true love, across the room while I screamed NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. So I waited. And I stalked. And I read every post Ms. Glines made on Facebook and Twitter. I read every teaser, following every blog, waiting, waiting, and waiting for Never Too Far to be published. I began to worry that my anticipation wouldn’t live up to the reality. I was wrong, so very wrong. It was worth the wait.
In Never Too Far we find our heroine and hero broken. One can’t get over the betrayal, the other can’t get over the fact that he hurt the first and only person he’s ever loved. The first few chapters made me ache, I could honestly feel, physically feel their anguish. At times I just wanted them to get over it already and bring on the hot sex scenes that Ms. Glines is so skilled at writing, but then the pay off wouldn’t have been so great. And believe me the pay off was - WOW!
The book paces really well. Just when you think you can’t take it, just when you think it’s heading into that sappy place that makes you roll your eyes and say "come on" - it moves and you’re given a sweet reward. Let it be a steamy scene or a heart tugging one, it’s a reward just the same. Minor characters are fleshed out here Woods, Bethy and Grant are people you want to know, they aren’t just background filler. They live and breathe and they love Blair and Rush. Okay so maybe Woods doesn’t love Rush, but I’m totally dying for a bromance between these two.
There are surprises here. Big ones. Ones I DID NOT SEE COMING. Which are the best kinds of surprises, right? What I really love is that Ms. Glines doesn’t portray these characters as bigger than life; they are real, flawed and young. So young and the stupid stuff they do and the ways they react show that.
I don’t want to ruin it for any other reader by giving anything away. So just read it. You won’t be sorry.

Sadly not as good as the first one. The same thing kept happening, just with a little different circumstances everytime. I still enjoyed the story and liked the characters. I love Blaire and Rush, but also think Woods, Grant and Bethy are very fun. The plot isn't great but it's a fun read.

3.5 stars. I enjoyed this one but not as much as the first. Blair's insecurities got ridiculous and her and Rush's inability to communicate about anything and fixing everything with incredible sex was a little much for me.
