*Spoiler alert agora*
Fico a pensar sobre:
-A Michaela?
-A mãe do Mattia?
-Porque não se entregaram um ao outro?
Tudo ramos deste livro que eu gostaria de saber as respostas. Sinto-o vazio.

This one made me feel so many emotions all at once. I felt the loneliness that the characters felt, I felt the hope that they longed for, and anything in between. So eloquently written as the story unfolds between Alice and Mattias, the two “prime numbers”. Definitely recommend.

The story of two trouble souls which as the twin prime number are close but always separated by an even number.

I found the book disappointing. I did like the beginning of the story and the comparison with the prime numbers, and I thought the author was going to do more with it. I think I always expect a lot more reference to science from authors who are researchers in their day job.
I found the second part of the book particularly slow to then end it up in a few pages.

I am so irritated
Now what exactly was the message/theme of this book? If this is supposed to be a romance novel, it failed. I don't feel like Mattia and Alice have a connection at all and their first moments together seem like stupid insta love. If this is just supposed to be about the tragedy of unjustifiable events and emotions that are all over the place, it was okay.

The writing style is very fluid and the pages really flew by. It was really good at times. Very good metaphors and symbolics were used.

I didn't quite get what is happening and nothing is really truly of relevance but the first two chapters. The events are all over the place and not explained well enough for me. Mattia and Alice are portrayed as the "odd humans out" (prime numbers in this case). That mindset makes it particularly interesting to see them having a bad social life.

In conclusion, to me, it's a failed attempt at writing about unusual people having trouble being so unusual as if nothing bad ever happens to "normal" people.

Also the portraying of consent in this book???? Very questionable???

It also needs a trigger warning for eating disorders, really. It comes out of nowhere.

Dávat knížkám tohoto typu hodnocení s významem "it was amazing" zní poněkud masochisticky... Samota z toho dýchá sýpavě a nevyhnutelně. Bezútěšně, zoufale, odevzdaně.
Výborná věc.

I'm mostly perplexed by my 4 star rating here. This novel is maudlin and difficult, but the writing is just plain lovely. The story itself is one that would give a psychotherapist years of work. Also, it kinda spoiled my appetite for a while.
