This was my second time reading this novella and I loved it even more this time around. I actually really enjoyed reading it after Bound to the Battle God because I appreciated the characters so much more. RD knocks another one out of the park and I can't wait to keep reading this series.

4.5 ⭐️ This was a cute little novella providing some background information on two side characters from Bound to the Battle God. Princess Halla is gentle and demure, but has a quiet strength to her. I love how even though she’s not a warrior, she is still brave in her own way. Mathior is a barbarian warrior king, and is considered a brute by Halla’s people, but he is steadfast in his devotion to her. This was steamy and so cute!
