Brooke Cumberland and Lyra Parish have quickly become one of my favorite author duos. Their writing is so unique and fresh you will absolutely love it. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for an honest review and to sum it up into one word, Wow! My Week with the Bad Boy has everything a girl could want in a romance novel. You get your steamy parts *A lot of steamy parts*, your tear-jerker moments, your boy next door, your wealthy business owner, and your 100% alpha male that can be the sweetest at times and such a bad boy at times.

We meet Vada when she travels to Charleston for a little get away to work on her latest novel. There she meets the alluring, ‘bad boy’ Ethan when she goes to meet her new tenant for the week. He opens the door shirtless and full of innuendoes. Definitely not love at first sight, more like annoyed at first sight. When Vada hits writers block and needs to release a little tension, Ethan is more than happy to help out. But what happens when one night turns into a fast romance? Find out by one-clicking this book. You will not regret it! Brooke and Lyra will take you on a wild ride with this novel and you’ll love every second of it.

I’ve got to say, I was completely in awe of this book! My Week with the Bad Boy was nothing like what I expected it to be!!

Ethan, tattoos, abs for days, sexy and cocky, the ultimate bad boy who has opened his guest house as an Airbnb of sorts. Ethan is not looking for any sort of relationship from anyone, let alone the quiet, quirky Vada who strolls into his house and into his heart.

The sexual innuendos and humor between Ethan and Vada were full of fun yet also emotion. Vada and Ethan are perfect together and perfect for each other although they both have pasts that have brought them to their knees, especially Ethan.

I started and finished this book in one afternoon as I was completely swept away in emotion. My Week with the Bad Boy goes through every emotion you can imagine, is CRAZY, SEXY HOT and I have to say I definitely recommend it!

When I think of My Week with the Bad Boy I think of YES. Yes to the characters, yes to the story, yes to the HOT AF cover, and yes to the writing.

I LOVED that Vada was a romance writer. That meant plenty of book talk. I can NEVER get enough of that. Ethan MAY have seemed like a bad boy to most, but he was really a sweetie to me. A sweetie with a dirty mouth and mind. ;) The chemistry between them was CRAZY.

I want the rest of the series like NOW.

I don't know if I'm going to survive this series!!! Oh my heart! I love this story and can't wait for more!!

No one get in the way of Brooke Cumberland and Lyra Parish! They are unstoppable and I am loving every single word they write together. Let’s lock them both away so they can write all the words! I’m joking… kind of.

I love when a story makes you laugh right out of the gate. This book not only did that, but so much more. My Week with the Bad Boy is one heck of a sexy story that once I started, I quickly devoured the entire thing in one sitting.

Ethan and Vada are so much fun. They have met their match with each other. They are both spunky, sarcastic, and confident. They constantly butt heads and don’t get along at first. They called each other out from the get go and wouldn’t let up causing instant tension and chemistry.

While there was plenty of steam, there was also heartbreak and sadness. Ethan is a complicated bad boy with a past that makes him interested in only a one night stand. Nothing more. Then Vada, a city girl, decides to spend a week in the country at his AirBNB to work on the book she’s currently writing. She also has a complicated history, dating loser after loser, and trying to deal with issues from her childhood.

Yes, this story has a touch of insta-love but it was done 100% right! This book is fast paced so while it seems a little like insta-love, I felt like it was so much more. I understand that insta-love isn’t for everyone and a lot of times I have a problem with it as well but this book was everything I was looking for and needed.

I want more!!! I can’t wait for the next book in the Week series and everything else Brooke and Lyra write!

Grateful to have received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

4 Stars!

My Week with the Bad Boy was a fun, low angst, with its laugh out loud moments book. But don't let that fool you, it also packed the emotional punch. I loved Ethan's profession (Hero) it was something new I hadn't read before and it added that extra something. I liked the flow of the story. Low on drama and high on likability.

Vada is a romance writer seeking a change of scenery and a little relaxation. She hopes to clear her mind and get some inspiration for her current book she's writing. Little does she know, she's about to find a whole lot of inspiration in the form of one cocky and dirty mouthed Ethan Rochester.

Ethan is more than meets the eye. Yes, he's cocky, but it's more so an abundance of confidence he has. He does his best not get close to people because it'd only mean he'd have to open up. But, when a city girl rents his cottage for a week, he knows he's in trouble. And soon, she'll have him confiding in her and sharing parts of him he hasn't shared with anyone.

Vada and Ethan were quite the pair. Their witty banter had me smiling like a fool. I liked their back and forth tug-of-war. They had me guessing when they'd finally give in to their feelings. Because it was evident they were attracted to each other. And once they gave in to their chemistry, fireworks happened. And boy did they light the sky.

My Week with the Bad Boy was an enjoyable read. And I can't wait for the next book, My Week with the F*ck Boy.

So first, I have to say i love Brooke & Lyra's writing. I devoured all of the Kennedy Fox books, and this book was no different. I was so excited when it appeared on my kindle this morning, i knew i had to read it the moment i got the chance (even if it ment putting off my responsibilities).

I loved Ethan. And I loved Vada & their interactions together. This book gave me so many feels. At some points it may not have been what i was expecting, but had everything I hoped for and more. I absolutely fell in love with the story.

This book is another 5⭐ out of 5⭐ star read from the amazing duo. And I would definitely recommend picking it up.

I received this ARC for an honest review.

When I picked this book up, I was totally taken with the blurb; stories that have Romance writers and their muses is one of my favourite tropes/sub-tropes.

Usually, in the case of novellas, I can and do overlook loads of stuff because, well if I wanted details I would go read a full-length novel, Here, I just felt that the authors touched quite a few topics, opened them for discussion but never actually got around to completely closing them.
At times it felt like too many things was going on at the same time without any closure and I just couldn't fully enjoy reading this novella as much as I was hoping to.

I have adored the Kennedy Fox/Cumberland-Parish collaborations I have read to date (ie, all of them), and now they duo have "come out" of the writing closet, nothing has changed.

My Week With The Bad Boy is cute and sweet and sexy, with a dose of sadness and frustration thrown in for good measure.

I adored Vada - she made me wonder if this was the process that our lovely writers go through as they push their writing deadlines. Did they rent out a cottage from a hottie artist for inspiration/

I am sure sure what I was expecting - maybe with this title of this book, I was expecting something a little different? I don't mean this in a bad way, I think I was just not expecting something so emotional? There was some darkness and sadness in this story that I guess I wasn't expecting? Gah, who knows what I mean ( I am pretty certain I don't get where I am coming from!)

My Week With The Bad Boy is all that and a bag of chips. I laughed, I cried, I threw my kindle in frustration.

Ignore my ramblings (I don't think I am quite over my jetlag just yet). Pick up this book and read it, you won't be disappointed.

H rating: 4/5 - Ethan

Thoughts: Okay I really enjoyed it but it went downhill so quickly and it happened right when she decided to book it, instead of talking to him about it. THEN we had the 1 year...UGH. NO. I immediately disliked her. I honestly think he deserved better, even when she was explaining and admitting to being dumb, I just couldn't forgive her.
