Well all I can really say is best friends to lovers done so elegantly you can't help but smile and laugh throughout. This is book 3 of Big Bull Mechanics a separate and contoniation of Four Bears Construction. As with the previous books of both series get ready for crazy antifs of the men of these groups. Journey and Red have been best friends since childhood, long distance for last 15 years, when a death in the family happens Journey finally comes home to Wisconsin.
RED immediately agrees to help Journey on his newly acquired farm and these two become closer than ever. The tender moments are seamlessly mixed with the lol moments. Get ready and enjoy the ride I hope you love it ad much as I did.

Stick Shift, Book 3 in the series. Red and Journey have been best friends since elementary school. Red is a mechanic and Journey is a travel blogger so they don't see each other. Journey comes home because his uncle died and left him his farm. As journey and Red manage this farm together, Journey starts to realize he's not totally straight and has feelings for Red. Red has always had feelings for Journey that he' s kept hidden.
I have loved this series. So far, I think this is my favorite book of the series. I loved the animals antics. So many laugh out loud moments. This whole series is entertaining.

Things I loved:
- Red is my personal brand of autism (autistic-coded) and I found him very relatable and authentic. He was written kindly and not a caricature built of stereotypes or a regurgitated Sheldon (like almost every nerd in every nerd/jock romance). He’s logical, practical, pragmatic, a little confused by social subtext but not oblivious, not helpless, and in control of his actions, feelings, and future. Great rep in my opinion.
- These boys were LOVED UP. 10/10 the mushiest/sappiest boys.
- Farm life, not for me, but cute as hell.
- Reasonable, communicative, responsible adults.
- Love when grown men have friends. Such fiction but I live for it.
- Liked all the hints about future books, the setups sound fun.

Middling things:
- Slow paced/lazy Sunday morning vibes the whole book, not much tension of any kind which is honestly what I needed today.
- The steam was more like a hot cup of tea rather than a house fire.

Didn’t love:
- Journey wasn’t my favorite character - honestly nothing wrong with him, just kinda unremarkable and a couple of his storylines and backstory felt weaker than most of the other characters in the bears/bulls series. Not a bad guy, just not very memorable.

Journey has spent most of his adult life traveling and writing a travel blog, knowing that no matter what his best friend Red will be there for him. Never having anything more than a one night stand he doesn’t get the hype about sex until he moves home to start the new adventure of farm ownership with his best friend. Suddenly having very strong urges he has never experienced Journey struggles to deal with a late in life Bi and Demi awakening. Red has been hopelessly in love with Journey for as long as he can remember and will take any part of him that he can get, so when a chance to explore things is presented he’s willing to risk heartbreak to have just a moment with Journey.
