The narration was so disjointed that if it wasn't a book club book, I would have dnfed. I had to dig up a detailed summary as well because with so many people and changing povs I couldn't keep track of it all on audio.
The story wasn't bad, just not my preferred narration style and imo way too long.
It also jumped from character to character too much for me to care more deeply about anyone besides Patrice. I did appreciate though the bear and watchman parts/similes in relation to her family situation.
