Wanted to love this, but it ended up falling short for me. I wanted Leonardo to have more gravitas than he actually does.

Really good nuggets of information wrapped in a plethora of unnecessary words, repetition, opinion, and biases.

I certainly learned a lot from this, not knowing much about art. I felt the author was very dismissive of negative actions of da Vinci (he saw nothing wrong with his relationship with a 14 year old boy??), spoke highly of those who influenced or otherwise supported him and very lowly of competition (mainly Michelangelo).

Informative, but not very balanced.

Narrator is quite good, though if you can’t look at the pdf (or don’t have intimate knowledge of da Vinci’s works) while reading it, stick with a physical or digital copy.
