I thought this was a good ending to the series. The only reason I gave it a 4 was that at times it seemed to drag on and was slow. I liked that everyone ended up with a happy ending even though it didn’t seem like it at times. It was hard to follow some the story lines at times since they wouldn’t resurface until many chapters later. I liked the final fight scene as many books don’t describe them in such details as this one. I was happy that Cinder ended up on her throne. It was a long time coming. I’m hoping the chip was able to help Winter out. I wish we could have seen that.

Full review to come.I have really enjoyed this series. Exploring a future version of Earth where the moon in populated, there are only a handful of actual "countries", cyborgs, androids, and emperors work together to bring peace and safety to both Lunars and Earthens. However, I found Winter to be mercilessly long. That being said, this was an epic finale to The Lunar Chronicles. I am SO glad that I FINALLY read this series.

I have become quite attached to all of the characters in these books. I think Cress and Scarlet are my personal favorites...along with Thorne and Wolf. Of course, the majority of the series revolves around Cinder and she truly turns out to be a remarkable girl. Winter has MANY different perspectives, making it easy to get a little muddled, but doesn't take long to get in the flow. I think by having so many point of views of the surroundings and activities it helps fill a lot of would be gaps. This is also a contributing factor to why the book is so long. Hardcover is 827 pages in length and took me about a week to complete. To keep this review spoiler free for anyone who hasn't read the first three books, I will simply state that Winter wraps the whole story up quite nicely. And despite its length, this is a journey that I am glad I was a part of.

The Lunar Chronicles is not a Christian series and is marketed as "Young Adult". I feel that it is appropriate for this age group (and adults can enjoy it too of course!). The romance is clean and sweet. There is no foul language that I can think of. There is some violence as the wolf hybrid soldiers reign terror on Luna and Earth. Also there is a pretty epic battle to wrap everything up.

If you enjoy sci-fi and young adult fiction, I think you would enjoy this series! Check it out and let me know your thoughts!

I borrowed Winter from my local library. I was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.

Wow.... I just, I can't even think. Hands down, best book of the year. Meyer does a FANTASTIC job of creating eight characters who are so flawed, but so amazing at the same time. I have read lots of books where the author switches perspectives, but never has one been done as well as this. I always find myself wanting to go back to a certain character, but in Winter, I like every single perspective and rooted so hard for the characters to win. I love how Meyer created Levana to be an anti-hero and the villain. I was just blown away with the complexity of the characters and how well Meyer navigated all of them. I HIGHLY recommend this series to anyone. It has action, romance, heart break all in one series which you don't often find. Bravo Marissa Meyer, I will read anything you write.

Winter is such a sweet fun character I love her storyline. Ending came together nicely for everyone.
I wish Levanas death was more satisfying and detailed though like it kind of just happened. I wanted to see her question everything she ever believed in before the light left her eyes.

4.5 stars!

I finally got around to reading this epic finale, and it was AMAZING!

I can't believe I'm finished with this series, for me finishing any series is amazing and now I'm crying. Because a part of me wishes that this series could go on forever and that I could follow these characters forever, that is what a series does to me!! I get way to invested in their lives!

But there were just some tiny flaws with this book.

1) It was too long. It was over 800 pages! I feel like the first 150 pages could have been cut from the book and it wouldn't have made that big of a difference, but when I got past those 150 pages I was basically inhaling it!

2)
SpoilerThe fact that every one of the 9 main characters got out alive and that all of them (except Iko) was paired up with someone at the end of the story. But on another note, I'm also very happy that all of them made it out alive and I would probably have sobbed, cried and thrown the book across the room if any of them died soooo, maybe it was good, but that is just not how war works. AND Crees and Thorne are just perfect for each other and they deserve to live happily ever after because they are just SO CUTE TOGETHER

In the end, this was a great conclusion to the series, I love this world, I love these characters and excuse me while I go and cry over in my corner.

A good ending to this series,my only complaint,it did not need to be 827 pages

I’m sad to see it end but what an ending it was. I loved this book and this series and thought it was really well done. It’s wrapped up all nice in a neat bow. I’m super glad I finally got around to reading this, it’s truly a great series.

This was a great finish to the series with a strong end. So much happened in this book! It was great and I really loved it.

I enjoyed the story but felt that it was somewhat drawn out.
