I felt this was confusing but still very good, which makes sense since this is the first comic written by N. K. Jemisin (the writer), she usually writes books so I think she had some problems simplifying and communicating her ideas in a less descriptive median, especially for such a dense story that involved so many complicated stuff like a lot of subtle space politics and high concept material, but still, even with the series being a bit confusing, it turned out good because of its engaging themes, godly art, charming characters, and interesting (although messy) world-building.
