Nowak is a phenomenal cartoonist; someone who truly knows how to draw and has fun doing it. My favorite story in this collection was Diana’s Electric Tongue. I wish more of their work had an ending.

This graphic novel is a collection of several short stories about different women. The stories are all different, but they all seem to be about women that are searching for some kind of human connection.

I enjoyed the meaning behind a lot of these stories, they tugged at my heartstrings. However, I had an issue with the lack of finality. None of the stories have a great ending point, and they just aren't super satisfying. Perhaps this is a choice, something that should be poignant and important to the stories, something that symbolizes the fact that these women are all living ongoing stories that don't have any real end. Maybe some people like that, but it isn't my bag.

The art style is nice, very organic and soft with thick bold line work. Each story the style seems just slightly different, which makes them feel entirely unique. This is emphasized by the differences in coloring as well, the first story being monochromatic: all white and purple. The second story is full, vibrant color, the third is a bit more minimalistic in its color choices, tending more towards pastels, and having large areas of white space. The third story is even more so, using only a few colors per page, and using those colors to emphasize important objects in a scene.
