While the previous volume was one of my favorites, this is probably my least favorite of the series. It just seems way too random, and the things that contribute to the overall storyline are too few and far between... I get the general idea of this volume, but I still didn't enjoy most of it very much.

this was a quick read and so much more complex than i first thought it would be. there were so many stories nested inside other stories and when they all came together in the end it was quite cathartic. the funeral left we wondering and intrigued as to where it would all go in the next volume. again another beautiful short story compilation that ended up all leading to a larger story which was interesting. these ones are never my favourite but definitely enjoyable to say the least.

Story within a story within a story within another story. If I wanted that I would have read Arabian nights. Anyway, Morpheus just made brief appearences as well as Death, but not enough to keep me satisfied.

100th book of 2009! Woot woot!

This volume was a trip. Wow. The stories within stories within stories, it got to where I forgot this was the Sandman series.

I don't know which story was my favorite, they were all just incredible. Though the big dick coming out of the ocean is a winner.

The funeral at the end was incredible, and the narrator's reaction to it was amazing.

I can't believe I'm almost to the end. :-(

This collection was a kind of random storytelling sidetrack, sometimes stories were happening within stories. But the ending... added an extra star on just for that.
