Swing Vol. 1 by Matt Hawkins explores the relationship of Dan and Cathy, on their sexless marriage and their attempt to bring it back to life.

In this four chapter volume, we are taken on a bit of a journey.
In chapter one, we are introduced to Cathy as she begins her life as a college student. There she meets Dan, who is her English teacher's teacher assistant. Not to mention, her mom hates the idea that Dan is a white man who wants to be an author. (While I can understand where the mom is coming from, I understand how some might take offense to that.) In chapter two, we see their fractured sex life in their marriage, both contemplating cheating (however, unable to bring themselves to do it because they do truly love one another). In chapter three, Cathy suggests swinging and both do research in order to decide if it something they want to try together. In chapter four, they visit the club lifestyle (it goes horribly) and end up having a threesome with Cathy's college mate.

The thing I enjoyed most about this was the information, Hawkins and Cheung give about swinging (or aka the lifestyle). I was grateful for the direct yet helpful information on the topic which made me appreciate the story more.

I am looking forward to how Dan and Cathy's relationship further develop in future volumes.
