At first i had trouble getting into this. It must have been my mood at the time though, because i started it all over again and this time i was engulfed in the story. You can really feel what the characters are experiencing and see what they're seeing. You begin to not only feel anger when Ramsey, does, but you start to feel your own anger and want to kill the Father Sonny just as much for the pain he's caused poor Emma. It really brings you into the mind of not only the parents but the child as well when a child is kidnapped, among other things. It was definately an excellent read. And one i will probably read many times again.

This is the third book in the FBI Thriller series, where we are introduced to two new characters, and 2 old ones have a little cameo as well. Judge Hunt (from SF!) goes off into the mountains to escape a traumatic event, and have peace and quiet and write. But instead, he finds a six year old girl, who has been kidnapped, beaten and raped, but escaped. He wins her over, and she wins him over, and they form a close bond. Her mother shows up, and it turns out they're being followed, so the three flee to figure out who is after them. At first I thought, hmm, is it realistic that he would care so much for that little girl that's not even his, in such a short time? But then I thought about it and I think it is. I could. Especially such a special and smart little girl. Fast paced, filled with likeable characters, action, and twists, the third book did not dissapoint, and I'm looking forward to reading more!

What a great book. One tough federal judge on hiatus. One strong abused little girl, and one tough momma.
This was a very tense book with lots of action.

I like the FBI series. Easy reads but you keep reading to find out the mystery. Of course the romance is a catchy element as well

Judge Ramsey Hunt is at his cabin in the woods when he discovers a little girl who’s been abused. But who’s after her and why? Eventually Molly, her mother finds them… but so do the bad guys. This one was a game of cat and mouse as the trio was on the run the majority of the book, escaping one bad situation after the other. Then they have to figure out who is after them, and why. Quite a page-turner! These first few books feature different characters, as opposed to later books in the series, where Savich and Sherlock become the main players, but they still make a brief appearance in this one. An exciting read!
