I read this book during a particularly gloomy time, when I didn’t want to read heavy “adult” subjects, and I really couldn’t have chosen a better book. This story is such a lovely tale of friendship and the beauty of living alongside nature. It made my heart feel so light when reading the charming imagery of the rivers, woods, hardworking animals and the mouthwatering descriptions of the animal’s banquets.
