A new tournament is on, and Hikaru meets Akira, who beats him without a chance. During the tournament Hikaru learns about „online go”, and he connects and allows Sai to play online. He suddenly becomes a star, and people start talking about him at amateur tournaments, including Akira, who gets challenged by Hikaru/Sai to a game.

THe story unwinds nicely, and I'm looking forward to seeing what's next.

These little babies learning how to play Go online reminds me of playing Yahoo Graffiti back in the dark ages

This story is comfort food for me. I can't quite put my finger on what keeps me rereading/rewatching this and the anime, but my interest in Go certainly helps. I also like that it's a generally positive story about getting good at something.

I think it’s great that the internet was brought in during this volume. The mangaka does an awesome job of showing the different ways Go can be played. It’s also great that Sai finally has a way he can play without making things difficult for Hikaru.

Damn this is good! I admit I didn't expect it to be like this. I find it very difficult to stop reading, even though it's basically all about a board game and people playing board games. But I love the characters, and their passions and their motivations. I also like that the rivalry isn't mean-spirited. And Hikaru's struggle to find his own game, and Akira who wants to catch up to Sai and Hikaru who wants to catch up to Akira. It's wonderful stuff, really.
